EnCAP-IT®, will be delivering a presentation at the ISWA World Congress / SWANA WASTECON Conference to be held September 25-27, 2017 in Baltimore, Maryland.

John P. Swenson and Jeffrey T. Crate P. G. (Waste Resource Services), will be attending the ISWA World Congress / SWANA WASTECON Conference this year. The World Congress is the biggest annual event organized by the International Solid Waste Association (ISWA). This year WASTECON® co-locates with ISWA’s World Congress to offer two exciting international events in one location, September 25–27 2017, in Baltimore, Maryland

EnCAP-IT is excited to present our encapsulated mechanically stabilized earthen (eMSE) berm system design, safeBERM®. By integrating macroencapsulation, proactive liquids management, flattening out the exterior slope, and providing easy access the safeBERM® system provides protective features unmatched in today’s market.

The presentation is entitled:

Macroencapsulation: The New Norm for Improving Safety and Increasing Landfill Capacity

Following the presentation, participants will be able to:

  • Significantly increase capacity within the existing facility footprint, while simultaneously improving slope stability and safety
  • Maximize the use of available facility property where lateral expansion is infeasible, while simultaneously reducing the overall facility cost per unit capacity disposal
  • Maximize the use of revenue-generating beneficial use materials, or create new revenue markets/maximize recycling—beneficial use of non-traditional materials (Could offset the costs of valuable expansion/construction)
