1954 – 2013
On July 21, 2013, Carlton Dudding my business partner and friend lost his fight with liver cancer. Carlton was a family man first, a good friend second and an environmentalist third.
Carlton was diagnosed with terminal liver cancer six weeks ago. His cancer had progressed past any operation, chemo or any other type of therapy. His doctors gave him 4 to 6 months to live. Unfortunately, Carton’s illness progressed much faster than anticipated.
Over the past six weeks Carlton and I have been preparing for his departure. Nothing can prepare you for the actual reality of the situation, and nothing can prepare those closest to him for last Sunday.
Much to his credit, Carlton developed a successful path for AWT’s success beyond his departure. I know he will checking in on me time to time from above, reminding everyone of his particular humor, flare and convictions.
Carlton made it known that he was, in fact, the first man on the moon. However, having landed on the dark side, his presence was not known or publicized.
He will be sorely missed …
